Software testing is an important part of software development. Even companies whose core business traditionally lies in manufacturing and hardware (e.g., in mechanical engineering and the automotive industry) have now recognized the importance of software testing.
The International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) is a non-profit organization that aims to establish standardized training for testers. This is intended to ensure that testers speak a common language and can therefore collaborate more effectively.
There are quite a few companies that nowadays only hire testers certified according to ISTQB standards.
The "ISTQB Certified Tester" standard, developed by the ISTQB, is now an internationally recognized standard for the training and professional development of software testers. The training consists of progressively structured, tiered curricula. Each tier concludes with an examination covering the content outlined in the individual curriculum and its associated learning objectives.
In the course „ISTQB®: Certified Tester Foundation Level – Testing of Embedded and IT Systems“ by MicroConsult, participants learn the essential procedures for software testing as well as the associated terms according to ISTQB.
At the end of the training, participants have the opportunity to take the certification exam.
In the test courses with examination for certification as „ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level“ recently conducted by MicroConsult, all participants passed the exam.
The training, which lasts four days (one day more than usual), offers not only additional practical tips but also comprehensive preparation for the final exam.
