Virtualization has long been established in server and desktop environments, but the embedded sector has benefited less from it so far. In his presentation at the ESE Congress 2024, MicroConsult trainer Marcus Gößler sheds light on the reasons for this and addresses the question of how useful it is to utilize virtualization via hypervisors in embedded systems.
