This embedded Linux training focuses on the setup and operation of an embedded Linux system with hard real-time requirements.
We’ll start with the development environment and the Yocto build system. We’ll show how Yocto is structured and, most importantly, how to use it effectively for your own project.
Next, we’ll cover the components used - the bootloader, device tree, Linux kernel, and root filesystem, which will be discussed in detail using the generated system as an example.
The traininng concludes with current legal issues arising from license compliance and the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA). We’ll demonstrate how these can be implemented using Yocto.
In the hands-on exercise, all components will be created and deployed using freely available open-source software.
The embedded Linux training places great emphasis on ensuring that the tools used are available for a wide range of architectures. This allows you to apply the practical skills you’ve learned, in a modified form, to your embedded board.
