The focus will be on methodologies, analyses, and assessments.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The automotive sector is increasingly affected by cyberattacks. For some time now, the industry has been waiting for standardized guidelines on how to properly handle threats, also to establish a degree of legal certainty. The ISO\/SAE 21434 standard, now available as the final international standard, aims to close this gap.<\/p>\n<p>Marcus G\u00f6\u00dfler, trainer and coach in the field of embedded systems at MicroConsult, will reveal the cybersecurity requirements of the standard and how this affects all phases of the life cycle of an automotive product in his compact seminar &quot;Automotive Cybersecurity according to ISO\/SAE 21434&quot; on Friday, December 3, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. as part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/ese-kongress.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">14th Embedded Software Engineering Congress<\/a>. The seminar builds on his ESE lecture from 2020 \u201e<a href=\"https:\/\/www.microconsult.de\/en\/mg_cybersecurity-1\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">A common language for cybersecurity<\/a>\u201cThe seminar, in which the standard, then only available as a draft, was discussed. Many changes were made to the standard, which will now be taken into account in the new seminar.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Marcus G\u00f6\u00dfler invites participants to engage with the content and specifications that cover the development of safe vehicles not only from a safety perspective, but also from a security perspective.<\/p>\n<p>\u201eThreat analysis, risk assessment, activities, and work products are waiting to be tackled,\u201c said G\u00f6\u00dfler. \u201eEmphasis is also placed on applicability in conjunction with other established standards, for example, from the areas of risk management or safety. The standard allows for flexibility in its explicit application.
