Since 2008, the embedded software community has met annually at the ESE Congress in Sindelfingen. MicroConsult invites you again this year to an intensive exchange of knowledge and experience, as well as to forge valuable contacts across industry boundaries.
MicroConsult is represented at the ESE Congress 2018 not only as an organizer, but also as an exhibitor and with seminars and lectures.
Our main focus this year: Forward-looking software design It improves the quality of your project! Only those who develop well-thought-out requirements in advance and consistently refine the architecture with software design can ensure high software and product quality for their product.
Our lecture and seminar program for ESE 2018
Programming guidelines are used in many projects. But do these guidelines really help? Frank Listing his lecture deals with “Programming guidelines – curse or blessing?” (Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at 8:50 a.m.) This session will discuss the goals of these guidelines from the different perspectives of various stakeholders. Typical errors will be examined, and tips will be given on how to successfully implement programming guidelines in a project.
How can embedded developers Software quality characteristics How can we better identify and quantify these factors and clearly formulate the resulting specific requirements and test cases? Thomas Batt demonstrates in his lecture “Quality requirements for embedded software” (Tue 04.12.18, 09:45 am) Methods and ways to learn the art of the cut- and stab-proof Quality requirements command.
Thomas Batt He has been a certified trainer and coach at MicroConsult since 1999, specializing in systems/software engineering for embedded/real-time systems and development process consulting. He is pleased to share his knowledge with the ESE audience again this year, including in two compact seminars on the following topics: ”Callback structures implemented in C” (Mon 03.12.18, 13:30) and “Creating system models with SysML” (Fri 07.12.18, 09:00 am).
Marcus Gößler He is a trainer and coach at MicroConsult in the field of embedded systems, specializing in safety-critical applications and multicore components. In his seminar “Functional safety: Basic knowledge and standards – A practice-oriented distillation of important standards” (Fri 07.12.18, 09:00 am) he explains the basic concepts of functional safety and illuminates how to meet the requirements stipulated by the standards step by step. Here you will find a concise jump-start guide for the development of safety-critical systems. The requirements from the basic standards (industry and automotive) are presented succinctly, and the essential points are highlighted.
Are you and your embedded project about to transition from a single-core to a multi-core system? Ingo Pohle, co-founder and managing director of MicroConsult, reveals in his presentation Real-time software for multicore designs: Aspects and challenges for getting started and switching (Wed 05.12.18, 08:50 am) the key to success and the most important requirements and aspects for Embedded software designs on multicore systems.
Mastering new challenges with up-to-date expertise
The 11th Embedded Software Engineering Congress will take place from December 3rd to 7th, 2018 It takes place in Sindelfingen and deals extensively with all aspects of modern embedded software engineering.
The program With a total of 115 individual events, it offers ideal conditions to explore topics and trends that challenge embedded software developers today and tomorrow.
The perennial topics of architecture, automotive, real-time, management, implementation, multicore, modeling, requirements, testing & quality, and software engineering management are key focus areas. The high importance of security and safety in the context of the Internet of Things, Industry 4.0, autonomous driving, and electromobility is reflected in this year's program, as is the growing interest in the practical application of machine learning. The following topics will be addressed from the perspective of Management and leadership responsibility The conference will focus on digital transformation and change, innovation, corporate culture, and diversity. A panel discussion will round off the diverse program.
MicroConsult continuously offers services related to the topics discussed at the congress. Training, seminars, and coaching. Here is a small selection of upcoming dates:
