The Embedded Software Engineering Kongress is the only German-language convention that focuses exclusively on the manifold issues and challenges with respect to the development of device and system software for industrial applications, automobile electronics, telecom devices and systems as well as consumer and medical devices.

Review: ESE-Kongress, December 2009
The second Embedded Software Engineering Kongress in Sindelfingen did not exhibit any signs of the economic crisis. With some 600 participants, more than 2,400 booked tracks as well as 30 table-top exhibitors, the second ESE Kongress even showed growth in every respect, compared to the first congress in 2008 which had already been a huge success.
Peter Siwon of co-organizer MicroConsult: "Considering the numbers and feedback from visitors and event partners, the event was extremely successful. The high degree of satisfaction of both participants and exhibitors is remarkable. 98.5% of participants indicated that they will certainly take part again in 2010 or at least consider participation".
On average, participants graded the overall event with 1.69. The high quality of the 91 presentations and 10 seminars resulted in an average grade of 2.21 for the congress program. With an average grade of 1.56, exhibitor satisfaction can hardly be any better.
Participants from German-speaking countries came from all corporate divisions: developers and managers, group managers, managing directors and technical decision-makers as well as software architects and project managers, in equal measure.
In particular, visitors and event partners appreciated the high quality of organization as well as the relaxed and pleasant atmosphere of the event.
Johann Wiesböck, Editor in Chief of ELEKTRONIKPRAXIS and co-organizer, concludes: "The lively atmosphere and interesting discussions were much appraised. The ESE-Kongress is a cost-efficient way of combining training, new ideas and personal exchange with colleagues from the industry. The congress has thus turned out to be exactly what we had intended when initiating the event: a networking platform for the embedded software industry."
